CELEBRATE THE LOVE OF JESUS
By Marian Powell

Praise the Lord, it's that time of the year again. Merry Christmas. This is the time for giving, a time for sharing and a time for spreading good cheer and love. Wait a minute! Aren't we supposed to do that all year 'round? Christmas is the time of the year for celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is the light of this world. He came so that He could die for our sins. He died so that we have the choice to live with Him eternally or live eternally in Hell. The choice sounds easy. Doesn't it.

Jesus wants to give, love and share daily. There's always someone who needs a helping hand, encouraging words, or just a simple hug. If we ask God to lead us and guide us, He will use us for His glory. All we have to do is make ourselves available to be used. Wouldn't it be nice if we shared what God has given us to someone else? We want to share the love of Jesus and His wonder working power with our fellow brother, sister, mother, father, family or friend. We are called to be a help to one another and build relationships in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

If we run out of ideas for what to get someone for Christmas, give them the love of Jesus (a hug, compliment or a helping hand or whatever God lays upon your heart). Jesus is the reason for the season. Think about what His word says..."Love one another as we love ourselves" Matthew 22:39. This is the second greatest commandment.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
