HE BROUGHT ME OUT
By Marian Powell

"I want to thank the Lord for bringing me a long way. I remember I used to be out there in the world and I used to go to clubs and party until the break of dawn. I would drink and get my buzz on. I was in my own little world. I grew up in the church, but I strayed away. I knew better and because of flesh and self, I wanted to do my own thing. I was also fornicating knowing that it was wrong. My sinful ways led me to shack up. My main excuse was because I didn't have a place to stay and I didn't want to stay in the dorms at school. I didn't trust or depend on God at that time. All alone while I was doing this, I was still in church.

I was very weak and I needed God to help me. After a while I started going to Bible study more often. I started learning more and began to get more excited for the Lord. I started teaching Sunday School and my spirit began growing and maturing. Then it dawned on me that I can't live in sin and teach the word of God. I started getting tired of the shacking situation I was in and I prayed and prayed and prayed. He took the spirit of fornication away from me. I stepped out on faith and the Lord blessed me to find my own apartment. I didn't know how I was going to pay my rent, bills and other necessities on the salary I made. God is so good.....I never went hungry, the rent and my bills were paid and now I know that I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Phil. 4:13). God brought me out....Hallelujah!"
